The US playstation.com site describes some of the downloadable content that will be coming for the PS3 in the US, accessible via the Online Store feature of the PS3. So far the site lists a couple of games ‘available in Decemember 2006’, including 1080p version of Lemmings, plus one launch title, ‘Blast Factor’.
TiVo announce several TV/Internet integration features coming for 2007
TiVo have announced several new features coming in 2007 for Series 2 or 3 owners. The new features include further internet and ‘media server’ type functionality, including the ability to stream your own photos and home movies as a ‘private TiVo channel’ across the internet to anyone who has the code to view your channel, ability to convert and stream video content from your PC in MPEG2 format to your TiVo for viewing on your TV, CBS exlusive content just for TiVo owners, and a ‘unified search’ feature that searches for scheduled shows as well as content from other sources across the internet.
Sounds like next year maybe the time to upgrade the old Series 1…
2 days before PS3 US launch: interesting Playstation fact #1 – PSOne makes good hi-fi CD player?
Rumor has it amongst audiophiles that certain models of the original PSOne actually make a very good CD player component if you connect it into the rest of your hi-fi equipment. Ars Technica have a link to the original article on MSNBC, but there is some interesting discussion on the Ars Technica site as to whether this is a valid and genuine fact, or just a ploy to help ‘pump and dump’ existing PSOne back stock?
